For the 2nd time in a few weeks i have seen a team DQ’d due to the team throwing the baton. I found out that you can actually throw the baton for an exchange, but that has to be the ONLY way a team hands off at a meet. So someone make this meet happen!

Shane Cohen of Virginia… what a story! 1:59 PR coming out of high school in the 800m. Then spent 4 years at University of Tampa and in his final year only ran 1:54 for 800 and didnt qualify for D2 Nationals.
Today he is the NCAA D1 Champion at 800m!
