That is not the most bizarre aspect, Palestinians refugees are the only refugees in history to pass the status to their adopted children, and the only refugees who even if they are member of Congress, first lady, Queen, or Prime Minsters, they are still considered refugees.

Arabs didn't "sought to ethnically cleanse all Jews" they actually did it, Hebron had 0 Jews from 1936-67, Gaza, Judea and Samaria were ethnically cleansed of their Jews in 48.
