🚨 Update on the Maryland Ketogenic Diet study that was shut down. The health secretary who shut down the study has resigned. Hopefully the trial will get back on track shortly. 🚀
The Maryland state health secretary who shut down the privately funded ketogenic diet trial for inpatients with schizophrenia (the only such trial in the country) has resigned. I wonder whether the pressure from the more than 21,000 people who signed a petition to reverse her decision played a role. This is a promising development in the effort to restart this trial. @ChrisPalmerMD
