On 2/3, the left lane of WB U.S. 150 will close just before the McClugage Bridge. The closure is necessary as demolition of the old EB bridge occurs and should last for 2 weeks, followed by intermittent daytime lane closures, until demolition is complete.

Exciting news, Washington! The newly constructed intersection of U.S. 24 and Nofsinger Road will open on Dec. 18. Traffic signals to control this intersection will also be fully activated.

On 12/12, 10 pm, EB U.S. 150 traffic will be stopped on the McClugage Bridge for up to 20-minute durations for sign installation. Work should complete by 6 am 12/13. On 12/10-11, WB lane closures will occur on U.S. 150 in East Peoria for guardrail work.

Northbound I-39 between IL-17/Wenona (exit 35) and IL-18/Streator (exit 41) will close at 7 a.m. Dec. 9. The closure is necessary for emergency pavement patching and is expected to last until the following morning. A detour utilizing IL-251 will be posted.

An open house public hearing for proposed improvements to IL-29 (Galena Road) from the McClugage Bridge (U.S. 150) in Peoria Heights to Gardner Lane in Peoria will be held Dec. 4, 4-6 p.m. at Peoria Heights Grade School - 500 E. Glen Ave., Peoria Heights.

The left lane of WB U.S. 150 (War Memorial Drive) as it approaches the McClugage Bridge in East Peoria will close Nov. 12. The closure is necessary for ongoing construction on the new eastbound McClugage Bridge and is expected to last about a month.

Starting 11/10, EB U.S. 150 traffic will be shifted to the right lane as it approaches the McClugage Bridge in Peoria. The lane shift is necessary for pavement replacement in the left lane and this traffic pattern is expected to last for about one month.

Washington Rd (IL- 8/Business U.S. 24) between Legion Rd and Zinser Pl resurfacing in Washington begins 10/21. Traffic will be reduced to one lane with resurfacing completed by the end of Nov. Sidewalk & traffic signal upgrades will wrap up next spring.

IDOT announced that a one-day inspection of the Shade-Lohmann Bridge in Creve Coeur, which carries I-474 over the Illinois River, will take place Oct. 15. The inspection will reduce the bridge to one lane in each direction between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

On 10/10, the WB lane of the Cedar St. extension will be closed between Main St. & Edmund St. in East Peoria. Ramps from Main St. to the WB Cedar St. extension also will be closed for a bridge deck pour and will last all day. EB lanes will not be impacted.

IDOT announced that resurfacing of Illinois 29 just north of Sparland in Marshall County is underway. The project will reduce Illinois 29 to one lane with traffic controlled by flaggers. Work is expected to be complete later this month, weather permitting.
