Today we mark inaugural meeting of the 'Atlantic Futures Strategic Advisory Group' at @atu_ie in Letterkenny on Friday 7th February. This newly established group brings together experienced practitioners in policy development, implementation, and cross-sector leadership, to enhance the impact of our research and related policy initiatives across the West and North West regions of Ireland. The first meeting was a dynamic, engaging and collaborative event, with representatives from all six Atlantic Futures research streams presenting their emerging findings, providing the group with a comprehensive overview of the project’s progress, and highlighting the potential for impactful, policy-relevant outcomes. The Advisory Group will focus on shaping the direction of current and future collaborative efforts, ensuring research informs policymaking and addresses key territorial challenges. While their role is non-executive, the group will serve as a reflective space for emerging findings, providing valuable insights to maximise the quality and impact of the Atlantic Futures project. This milestone underscores our commitment to impactful, globally engaged research and institutional cooperation across our project and partners. Watch this space for more info on the group and the events of the day on our official blog. Atlantic Futures is funded by @hea_irl as part of the North South Research Programme #NSRP #AtlanticFutures #ResearchIreland #PolicyDevelopment #Collaboration
