Shortly after the New Year, I tried my hand at applying for new publications on Medium. One of them was Medium’s largest and most popular mental health publication, called Invisible Illness. I didn’t really expect to be accepted, but that changed on January 24th when I was. Almost immediately it was as if I changed gears. Suddenly, I had an opportunity to write for a publication that has no fewer than 76,000 people reading it. I was close to taking a break from writing. This changed as well. I started working on three articles that, if accepted, would cover some of the most important issues we’re facing right now. I felt I had a new chance to make a difference. But I only had a limited amount of time and will power to do it. So I set to work. That’s why I’ve been so preoccupied lately. Last week, the first article was accepted—and—nominated for being boosted. Medium’s Boost program, as I understand it, is the equivalent of a tweet going viral here on Twitter. Scheduled for this Saturday, February 15th, “Arrested Development” will for the very first time reveal how my life has been disrupted by developmental setbacks and neglect. There are details in it that I’ve never shared before in published writing or socially with friends… You’ll know it when you read it on, or after, Saturday the 15th. I’ve attached screenshots of all three articles below, but I haven’t submitted the second two yet for Invisible Illness. So I don’t yet know if they will be accepted for publishing. More on them after this week. Thank you all. These will be some of my most revealing and emphatic writings I’ve ever done. #ActuallyAutistic

Scams happen here from time to time. I’ve grown accustomed to knowing which are real callers and which are scammers. If it’s a major government agency or company, they’ll always have to imbibe certain official information first. This is Jane with Liberty Mutual (just for an example). We’re calling about your car insurance rates and would like to offer you, our customer, a discount. Another tip is why they’re calling. If they ask for personal information, like your social security, bank account, or access ID number, out of context, it’s probably a scam. Even if you’re not sure, decline anyway. If they are legit and really do need the info, they’ll contact you again for it or prove they are who they say they are.

Duly noted. I didn’t grow up during the Beatles’ hay day. In fact, I’m far from it (1980s). But I did grow up with one of them and would disagree with your point of view. Music is to each person as their favorite color is. Not everyone will like the same things. It’s human nature. Your opinion is valid and insightful, but you do not speak for everyone. Have a listen of the first Beatle album and song that I ever listened to, as a kid.
