featured here is a Qur’an from Terengganu. From the 19th century, it is said to be amongst the finest among Qur'ans produced in the Malay World. The pages for Surah Al-Kahfi are illuminated to indicate the reader that they are halfway through their recitation.
Tughra is a calligraphic seal or signature used by Ottoman rulers made unique for each sultan. It was used as a seal to authorize official documents. The use of tughra on documents and coins served to guarantee the authenticity of their value and content.
In conjunction with the Nuzul Qur’an, the event of the revelation of the verses of the Qur’an, which is celebrated today, the IAMM invites all to appreciate the beauty and learn about among the oldest Qur’an from the IAMM collection.
