Our thoughts are with all those affected by last night’s tragic plane crash over the Potomac. Our members have been working tirelessly overnight. This is an incredibly difficult operation, and we ask for the public’s patience and support as they continue to work.

Tonight, the DC Firefighters Association mourns the loss of Lt R Heaney. He was a Union Leader, Company Officer, Fireman, and a Family man. He died in the line of duty due to occupational cancer. Our condolences to all who knew him. May you RIP Brother Heaney.
