The funniest thing is that wayyyy back in 88 there were female space marines… but the lads playing back then ended up not wanting to play with urgggghh girls so complained when the pack had a female. GW simply removed them from the packaging because they weren’t selling.. nowt
@RealRadHom
The haha flashgitz kills furry joke stopped being cute long ago, for some time even furries thougth it was funny but now It's just repetitive and weird and sounds more like actual hate
Seeing as this exploded.
I just have to add this final comment.
Movie: Dinosaurs are magical but we should not play God.
Book: Fool! You played God, and as a result you have made mutants that have no place in the world. Those are not Dinosaurs they are abominations!
Halo "fans" joining the ranks of 40k "fans" and Starship Trooper "fans" in embracing "alien genocide good" despite that being the exact opposite theme of the series they claim to like.

They guy was a monarchist.
So yeah, it’s fair to say he was a conservative.
Also considering that all of his work is informed by Christianity, yeah.
A. Heinlein, Orson Scott Card, Larry Niven, Vernor Vinge, Frank Herbert, Poul Anderson.
Shows the level of culture of these sorts.
Also I use “conservative” in quotations because these types of idiots literally can’t even define what that even means.
Let me see if I get this straight.
People are mad with Wendigoon because he is not a Reddit tier godless heathen and also loves his wife?
Wow, misery truly likes company.
Seriously, I’ll just say this because as fun as it has been this is the last I’ll say about this.
The whole: Bugs in ST, Xenos in 40K, Covenant in Halo are: “insert national, ethnic or religious group here” is just another manifestation of the Orcs=Black people nonsense.
Really glad you reached out for help on this notoriously difficult and very very subtle movie. It satirizes the type of propaganda an ultranationalist, militaristic state would put out. We have a group of characters, not only ripped from aryan propaganda posters, but also
Why the fuck are people determined to say that literal evil space locusts, space rape elves, cyber mummies, Genocide mushrooms, and literal demons and devil worshipers are stand in for Jews?!!!!!!
And this right here is what essentially pushed me away from any abortionist circles.
This endless infantile seesaw of “If you’re pro-life you would care for poor children.”
*They actually do*
“Oh well you would adopt them.”
“Ok we will.”
“WHAT HOW DARE YOU?!!!
“In the name of God, St Michael and St George, I give you the right to bear arms and the power to mete justice!”
Arthur : “That duty I will solemnly obey, as knight and king.”
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
All my life I was told how horrible the Crusades and all in the Middle Ages were before I actually studied them myself.
But what did we expect from a journo?
Alan Moore writing a un intentionally heroic character that you were supposed to hate, because he stuck to his principle, will always not be hilarious.
"ZOMG, if superheroes were real, the world would be a hellish dystopia!
"Please ignore that I made the superheroes all crazy, corrupt, or just plain evil in order for this scenario to work."
Ignoring the fact that almost all Tyranid centric stories make a point to show that the Hive mind is very much self aware and even stated to employ concepts as hate, spite, and grudges, it baffles me when I see takes like these.
@HughElMariscal
The tyranids aren't really evil, they're just a Hive Mind that just wants to survive and keep going. It's like calling a bear evil, it may try and kill you but it isn't doing it for malicious or nefarious reasons, it's an animal.
The Sisters of Battle are an all female army and organisation.
They are the militant arm of the ecclesiarchy, therefore they are at best attachés that followed the sisters around during to their religious fervor they inspire.
They are not part of the army.
Literally who, WHO asked for the either of these literally who is this for unless you’re a fat oily white guy with fleas in your beard and crusty burger oil in your belly button
@bunivasal
@Adricula_
No he was actively a monarchist and very zealous in his catholic faith.
He was also a believer that the Industrial Revolution was a mistake.
>There’s no Rome without Egypt…
Pffffftttttrhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
They were the breadbasket, the VASSAL bread basket.
At that point there was no Egypt without Rome.
Egypt’s glory days ended a looooooooooong time before.
@emerald_midgear
Being poor has nothing to do with not painting minis. You can get beginner packs w/ necrons and SM for $40 during most sales. If you don't want to paint and play say that. You're the one not wanting other people to play because they might think differently than you
There’s a lot to criticise the Brits on.
Driving in the wrong side, Becoming cringe heretics,The Black legend, etc.
But they single handedly did more to end modern slavery than most, and the insultingly cartoonish villain role they are given regarding that subject is disgraceful
@Maguro_guro
He was very anti-government had a mean libertarian streak.
Even in his support of the Spanish republic he refused to be identified as a communist and he was not exactly friendly to the lgbt.
It’s almost like people’s beliefs had gradient nuance.
-The Good guys are really the bad guys.
-Vague Occultism is more “reasonable” than theology.
-Ancient or medieval society anachronistic love for modern concepts.
-Tiny gal trouncing men 4 times her weight with not effort.
-Sympathy for the Devil.
Fellow writers/readers, what would you say are tropes that turn you away from a story?
For me, it's the nihilist trope, "Nothing you did really mattered. Hope is just a pointless delusion."
"one of the coolest armies"
yep that's why they're never brought up outside of arguing that women are a thing in 40K...
Also they're just straight up not cool lol
@Pippi88J
Your average Twitter user has more than once classified her as such.
This is what I mean, a lot of people would be “conservatives” just because they literally are not current day.
Even people who were liberals.
Christians can worship Aphrodite too. Just pray to Her as the spirit of Love and Beauty. Buy a statue of Aphrodite. Build an altar for Her. Light incense and make offerings to Her. In so doing, you will bring Love and Beauty into your life.
Ah, I see that despite that fact that Guilliman was released 2 editions ago, people are bitching about Primarchs coming back, as if it was an everyday occurrence.
Completely forgetting that Ghazkull, The Silent King and Angron are back too.
All is back in it’s natural place.
@LadyRunesong
HAHAHAHA.
Ah yes critique. Very brave.
If you wanted a critique you shouldn’t have used hell demons as the enemy.
Also, tradcath? For wanting to add flavour?
Ok.
Have you ever heard of those 4 centuries of Islamic expansion into Christian territory?
Seriously the 18th century called they want their historiography back.
@CerberusXt
I think one of the main reasons why this controversy exist is because Sisters of Battle are one of the worst Warhammer factions. Their entire design emphasizes sex, which doesn't belong on the battlefield. Marine design emphasizes strength, which has a place on the battlefield.
It is funny that I'm technically being vindicated by the Old World.
I've expressed before how, despite each faction's nuances, some can be called good and evil.
That's not a surprise for anything chaos-related and Greenskins.
But I'm surprised to see Tomb Kings there.
1/2
This is demonstrably wrong.
Fans had asked for Sisters for years to the point that it became a meme, and when they finally got announced not only it was a big deal, but they have gotten one of the most extensive model refreshes in the game’s history.
Since trench crusade has exploded in popularity (for better and for worst) I gonna ask you guys what's your favorite faction so far at least? Mine is definitely the Trench Pilgrims. Just normal people whooping ass by faith alone (also may be influenced because I am orthodox).
"I'm incredibly proud to announce that we've developed the organs necessary to allow our Space Marines to spit acid and eat people's flesh to gain their memories."
"Great, great. And what about female Marines?"
"Get your head out of your ass, you ask the impossible!"
