No, sadly, health care is not a free market (yet). But Certificate of Need laws ARE failed big government central planning. The answer to too much government involvement in health care is NOT more government involvement. Unelected bureaucrats shouldn’t be allowed to deny services

I believe they’re saying more facilities that have fewer beds, therefore more beds overall. Also would point you to this study that’s shows overall more facilities per capita if a state has repealed CON laws.

ICYMI: Great write up from @stevenadamswv about @AFPWV’s 2025 legislative agenda. I’ve never been more excited about the historic opportunity that West Virginia has to advance proven policies that will make the Mountain State a better state to live, work, and raise family.
The WV chapter of a conservative grassroots advocacy organization that spent money & manpower on behalf of the state’s new Republican governor & other GOP leaders now hopes their legislative agenda will receive a warm welcome, though opposition remains.
