I was arrested in 2014 during a peaceful sit-in for campus workers’ rights in the President’s Office in the Tower.
Still got into law school and am pursuing a rewarding career.

Attended peaceful protests against VietNam War at UT in 1970s where I was maced. My husband was beaten and arrested. Students are directly impacted by war/international conflict and have every right to speak out. Their voices are critical in shaping policy impacting their future.

Some of my neighbors have campaigned and urged others to call 9-1-1 at every suspected gunshot and parking violation in the neighborhood so that reported crime numbers in the area are skewed up. It’s honestly the whitest thing ever, counterproductive, and quite embarrassing.
