Democrats will continue to fearmonger — this is not true. Veterans' access to healthcare is not at risk.
9.1 million veterans are enrolled in VA healthcare. More than 80% of VA medical facilities are already experiencing a nursing shortage, and now the Musk-Trump Admin is trying to trick VA nurses into leaving their jobs. This will directly affect veterans' access to healthcare.

However, we’ve heard too often that navigating this process can be stressful and confusing. I’m proud to see my colleague, U.S. Army veteran and Technology Modernization Subcommittee Chairman Rep. Barrett introduce the Clear Communication for Veterans Claims Act, to ensure the VA’s notice letters for disability claims are clear and free from difficult legal jargon that we know can lead to unnecessary anxiety for veterans and their survivors.”
