It must be exhausting being a conservative comic "fan" constantly shitting on things you used to love so you can try and reconcile your rhetoric with your interests.
@N00BSYBORG
You do realize he still looks the same, right? The ethos of his story doesn't work right after Chuck Austen made his father the literal inspiration for the biblical devil. Mystique and Destiny being his parents is what Claremont wanted to do but couldn't in the 80s.
Props to Tennessee, that's a Final Four team, and it sucks they won't be in Arizona. They're better than Alabama, NC State, and Duke. Should've been a 1 seed. Good luck going forward,
@BigOrangeHeupel
and all (sane and normal) Tennessee fans.
So
@BoilerBall
has no seniors this year, but they do have a senior night matchup against their biggest rival.
My proposal: Make senior night into Larry "Cliz" Clisby Night.
@N00BSYBORG
First, if you read the issue, Spurrier explains why he looks like Azazel and preserves the validity of Azazel stories.
Second, The Draco is a 2003 story. Nightcrawler first appeared in 1975, for 28 years his appearance was due to being a mutant. It's why this panel is powerful:
Oh wow, the greatest active NBA player says Zach Edey is a great player...but there's no way he knows more than Joe from Owensboro who has 43 followers on Twitter, right?
LeBron James said that he watched Tennessee play in the Elite Eight because of Dalton Knecht.
“We watched that Purdue-Tennessee game because of Zach Edey and Knecht.”

My 6yo picked a bracket based solely on macots/logos he liked and not wanting to disappoint his Purdue alumni parents.
His Final Four:
UConn
Clemson
NC State
Purdue
All four are in the Elite Eight.
To our good friend Nebraska,
If you beat Iowa today, we promise to never make fun of your football team or the hiring decisions of your Athletic Department ever again.
Sincerely,
Purdue Fans.

fans and media: If it wasn't for having a harder schedule Indiana would have won the Big Ten instead of Purdue.
#iubb
team: Proceeds to lose to Iowa by 22 points and fall to 3 games back.
Here is my plea
#Purdue
fans: Please fan loose because this team plays loose.
Forget your superstitions.
Got an unlucky jersey? Wear it.
Sit somewhere other than your lucky spot.
If we win? Amazing
If we lose? Still amazing.
Let's just try to...
After tonight, Purdue looks like the best power conference team and Florida State definitely appears to be the worst.
So, as a Purdue fan, I expect Wednesday's game to be a nail-biter right to the buzzer.
Purdue finished with wins over the following teams in the
@AP_Top25
final poll:
T3. Bama
5. Tenn (x2)
6. Illinois (x2)
10. NC State
11. Arizona
12. Marquette
15. Gonzaga (x2)
22. Utah State
And many others who received votes.
Just not
#1
.
This is all I have to say after tonight:
Painter lost 3 seniors and a lottery pick.
Started two sub-100 freshmen all year.
Took the 436th ranked prospect and made him NPOTY. Won both Big Ten titles.
This group is a 10-seed under most coaches. Shit happens.
I’m sure there will be columns written about how Purdue choked and Matt Painter cannot win in March, but he’s a freak play away from a Final Four in 2019 and this team overachieved. He’s an excellent coach. Ignore those hot takes.
Welp, it looks like Purdue is about to become the top seed left in the East region. Which is sure to inspire confidence in Purdue fans, and not unbridled dread.
@sstaedtler98
@MikeBeauvais
A truly great man died, and the only thing you have to say is to act him in an attempt to defend the honor of your deplorable school.
Purdue fans with money and time:
Can you all please go buy as many tickets for the Illinois as possible? I'd love to hear Purdue chants in that game too.
David Jenkins is so important to Purdue's success this year. You're not going to always see why on the court, but he's a leader and has the confidence to get the Boilers out of tough spots.
I was reading comics to my 5yo and he turned and said:
"Daddy? Why do people on social media say Zach Edey is just tall? He has elite footwork, a bevy of post moves, and shoots 70% from the line.
@sports_ref
even says his TRB% is the best by a 7'+ player since at least 2011."
I feel like Purdue is getting no respect for beating Michigan State and Iowa. With losses to an 11-win, 10-win, and two 8-win teams, the Boilers have no bad losses and two of the best wins in the country.
Look, whether this happens or not, the work Zach Edey has put in and the job Matt Painter and Brandon Brantley have done to take a guy rated as the 436th best player in his class and make him into a possible lottery pick is incredible.
Zach Edey is now a projected lottery pick after finding another gear with his conditioning, mobility and productivity. He has shown better versatility blocking shots and stepping outside the paint defensively, while dunking and drawing fouls in bunches.
I've heard this week that "Zach Edey has never played anyone like DJ Burns," unironically.
Bitch, Burns has never seen anyone close to Edey. Edey has played Wembanyama and played for the Canadian National team. He's seen quite a lot.
Purdue has the best record of any Power 5 team, while playing in the second-toughest conference. While starting two sub-100 freshmen.
I'm begging Purdue fans to stop being so damn reactionary, it's embarrassing.
Make no mistake, Purdue got everyone's best shot every time they stepped onto the court during the Big Ten season.
Titles don't happen by accident, and this might be Painter's most impressive one.
You expect me to believe that Purdue only committed 5 fouls in the first half, but now they've committed 8 in 8 minutes in the second half? That's changing how you're calling the game.
Me: The rescheduling of Big Ten games messed up Purdue's flow and all those short rest games have negatively affected their play.
Also me: Man, I wish there was a Purdue game on today and every day.
Dear frustrated Purdue fans,
I can guarantee you no one is more frustrated than Matt and his players. They are all fighters, and this week of rest will have them ready to kick ass in the NCAAs.
Signed,
Someone with sense who actually loves this team and university
Purdue, the team, better not be thinking about IU at all until Thursday morning. Otherwise, they could easily be in the same situation as IU is right now.
Brace yourself CFB world, I have some news:
@BoilerFootball
is 5th in strength of schedule, I repeat, Purdue is 7-4 against one of the toughest schedules in the entire country. PLEASE TRY NOT TO PANIC!
TJD is an amazing player and absolutely has helped IU get better, but let's not act like the program was dead. According to some quick math...
IU's winning percentage the 4 years prior to TJD: 59.26%
IU's winning percentage the last 4 years with TJD: 58.91%
If Purdue isn't ranked at the end of the season it will be a travesty. 9-4 against one of the toughest schedules.
Wins over Michigan State, Iowa, and Tennessee.
Only four losses:
Ohio State (Top 10 team)
Notre Dame (Top 10 Team)
Minnesota (Won a bowl)
Wisconsin (Won a bowl)
Purdue played road games at Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, and Wisconsin. That’s literally every other team in the top 5 in the Big Ten. This wasn’t an easy schedule. Purdue just didn’t blow games like Michigan and MSU did.
I don't feel like Purdue twitter has given enough time to talking about the stones of Fletcher Loyer to stop and take a three on that fast break. I know for a Loyer a three might as well be a lay-up, but damn.
The Golden Era of IU football (2013-2017) looks like it is coming to an end.
It included:
0 winning seasons
2 Bowl losses and 0 wins
2 losses to Rutgers
And finally, 4 Bucket wins (the most in-a-row for IU)
Let me just say this. The Purdue players that are playing today are dedicated. I appreciate them so much and hope they meet their goals with the new regime.
Nothing that happens today is the fault of players opting out or the ones who are playing. This situation sucked for all.
This shit is 100% across the line. Trash talk isn't for jokes about people's deaths.
Caleb Swanigan dealt with insane amounts of childhood trauma that those not around the child services industry can't even fathom. He met a tragic end and his family doesn't deserve to see this.
@bitsycs
@Holmes_y_Rails
When did you last actually go to a final four? Were you alive? Still hanging a banner for a bull shit national championship? Your program is as real and Caleb Swanigan’s pulse.
Apparently IU now awards a gold jersey to players that outperform their teammates in practice.
Purdue is always outperforming IU players, must be why they all get to wear gold jerseys.
My fully vaccinated grandma throwing an absolute freak show bitch fit that I won’t go get a covid test because I have a stuffy nose and ate some soup today when I didn’t feel good for a brief hour or so.
If Purdue wins the Big Ten Tournament, I'm going to consider the NCAA just extra. Might be a weird mentality, but the modern tournament is way too random for me to put too much emotional investment in.
(I will absolutely end up way too emotionally invested)
