One of my favorite TCG moments was NAIC 2022, playing a GLC side event. I start Wishiwashi, opponent starts Tyrogue. Opponent goes first, does some stuff then Bratty Kicks. Heads. Turn passes, I flip for Scatter. Tails. Wishiwashi gets shuffled, I lose before I ever start my turn
One of my favorite TCG moments was Worlds 2022. After using Aqua Bullet for 120 on a Palkia VSTAR, my opponent takes the KO and I drop this guy and say "Revenge for 160 and the KO"
My opponent exclaims "Bloody hell! How much did you just do!?" And grabs the card

Kinda tired of the "worlds invite isn't hard if you have money" statement
Been playing for 3 years, gone to 5 majors this year, 5 last year, and Cups/Challenges every possible weekend in between
I am out SO MUCH MONEY and still haven't even hit a Day 2

I’m not saying anything will change, but it should. If you are including the thousands of people that went to a couple locals and got points then sure less than 1% qualified. People that actually tried for invite? Show me that statistic. Invite isn’t hard if you have money.

Everyone complaining about a Tier 0 format, at least Charizard has bad matchups. Aurora Energy Lugia's worst matchup was the mirror.
In this week's Standard format meta update, Charizard passes the 25% mark, now taking just over a quarter of all top 8 placements, ~2.5x 2nd place's 10.9%. Meanwhile, Lugia and ArcTina reappear at 7th and 8th, respectively.

What's everyone's take on this card in Lugia? There's a low chance the opponent will drop Manaphy before you use it, and it can help keep the 2-2-2 prize map into Comfey decks. It's also good at recycling Legacy Energy, but leaves less energy in play to make Chops more targetable

Been making a stockpile of VSTAR Dice Boxes for the past week. With a full-time job, I can only print about one a day, so it's been kinda dragging on. Etsy shop will reopen this weekend with (hopefully) a good amount of stock. I'll keep you posted ❤️

Pokemon is a hobby, prioritize the things that will take you farther in life. Keep time set aside for the things that make you happy, but keep in mind in 10 years one of these things will have made a sturdier foundation for you than the other.

Some of us are still working hard to get their first Day 2, and are gonna be incredibly proud once they get there. Seeing big-name players say that it essentially doesn't mean anything is very disheartening. Related to prize-support or not, please be respectful of that.

Hot take: Control being a good popular deck is good and healthy for the game, and animosity towards control players is ugly. Best example of "Don't hate the player, hate the game".
Be upset at TPCi for not having better time rules, not the player for having their own fun.

Today I said goodbye to my best friend of 3 years, Coconut. I had to make the difficult decision to rehome her bc I wasn't home enough to give her the attention she needed. She kept me grounded at my worst moments, and I hope her new home makes her happier than I did.

Super grateful to the TOs of today's Cup.
Started at noon w/ 32 players, 5 rounds BO3 and cut at Top 8. It was one of the smoothest tournaments I've been to since I got into the game. Didn't hear a single negative thing from anyone attending ❤️

is one of the best audio drama series I've listened to (and I'm listening to them CONSTANTLY). "Superheroes in therapy" only scratches the surface, the story is SO captivating and you can't not grow attached to the characters.

Truly awful take. The closest regional to me next season is 8 hours away, and if I were to earn CP at more accessible cups/challenges to earn the rest of my worlds invite, you would say I don't deserve it? Be humble bud, some folks don't have the same accessibility as others
