@Bytowngal @acoyne What you or I think is irrelevant. We live in democracy and all Canadians should have a say, not just "the good guys." Would you honestly have the same opinion if the roles were reversed?

@Bytowngal @acoyne Oh well, this changes everything. Let's just ignore that the CAF is in shambles, new defense spending is basically just consultancy and bureaucracy, and our Arctic is undefended. He had another meeting! But I understand, there's nothing he can do to lose your support.

Honestly, I think they're all awful and likely lack the leadership abilities to navigate us successfully through this. But this is not some game where I hope my team wins. The situation has drastically changed since the last election, and all Canadians should pick the next PM. If you're confident in "your" PM pick, then call an election. But LPC won't because they fear they lose power, not because they have all our best interests in mind.

There is no issue with proroguing government when necessary, and yes, the CPC likely used it also for political gain. Which I also disagree with, but it's politics. Let us remember some of the events leading to this. The LPC's finance minister quit right before delivering a budget update, then they dropped the budget update and left before answering any questions, the budget was over by 50%, and no one is being held accountable because we're not even sure who is in charge. We are on the brink of a trade war with the most powerful economies in human history and maybe even an actual war in Eastern Europe. Maybe not the same situations.

@BatcuMarcellus @acoyne I agree with this analysis, which is very similar to my take. The LPC is likely using the chaos for political points as opposed to what's best for Canada. However, we should be in a general election, not waiting around for the PM's pick to replace him to be "elected."

@Bytowngal @acoyne The government is prorogued, and the PM is allowing premiers to fill his duties. If we can't hold government accountable, then no, we don't.

Not a weird take at all. One of my favorite artists was Edvard Munch, and he was incredibly depressed, which in turn inspired much of his work. Kurt Cobain is another, more modern example, the tortured geniuses. Strong emotions among artists are quite common. And no, I don't think emotions are bad. Love is an emotion and one of the greatest gifts from God, Jesus talks of it often. However, emotions can be negative when uncontrolled. There can be a time for anger too when required, but you best have control of it. Otherwise, it controls you.

Yes, but I don't think that makes you virtuous. That's where we are different. I think what she does is legitimately damaging our society. Should I just say nothing to be nice? Besides that, you are angry and lashing out at me. You don't have control. Also seems you're a musical/creative type. I find that type always experiences emotions more strongly, especially sadness, unfortunately.

@ApostateProphet The only thing that can explain such a stubborn refusal of an historical figure is that by acknowledging him you reach the conclusion he is the Son of God. The replies in the comments are baffling. No rational person can fall for such arguments.
