You guys truly don’t understand how special it is for UConn to make it to the final four this season with majority of their players being injured. Geno and our girls outdid themselves with this one! Like them or not.. give them their flowers.
God bless Azzi Fudd for her mental health. I can’t imagine having to deal with injuries constantly and haven’t played a full college season yet. We all know Azzi will bounce back and become better than ever.
Y’all I’ve been watching Sarah Strong highlights nonstop ever since she committed to UConn. All I gotta say is.. if Morgan Tuck and Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis had a basketball child it would be Sarah. We got a GOOD one coming to Storrs next season.
my outtake:
- Paige should run the point and offense needs to build around for the rest of the szn.
- KK needs to start from this moment moving forward.
- Nika should come off the bench.
- Aaliyah grab your mask sweetie.
- Coaching staff needs to change up some things FAST.
Idk who needs to hear this but I don’t think Geno Auriemma cares if y’all like him or not. It will not effect his day to day life or legacy. He will still go down as one of the best coaches in sports history, period!
Y’all remember that era where Maya Moore was such a scoring machine at UConn and it was nothing a team can do that will stop her? Yeah.. I think Azzi Fudd is going to have that type of season.
I don’t understand how the big media coverages don’t talk about how Paige Bueckers is be putting elite stats against ranked opponents after coming back from an acl injury.. like this is legit inspiring asf.
Players with the most 20+ point games against Top 25 opponents:
1. Paige Bueckers (UConn) — 5
2. Ta’Niya Latson (Florida State) — 3
2. Jacy Sheldon (Ohio State) — 3
2. Alissa Pili (Utah) — 3
One thing about Paige Bueckers.. she’s going to score in many of variety of ways at an efficient rate and get it done on BOTH ends of the floor.
24 PTS
10-15 FG
6 STL
5 REB
2 BLK
..a complete player if you ask me.
As a UConn fan.. it’s kinda fascinating to see Paige Bueckers come back from a ACL injury and still carry the team on her back. Her and Qadence are the only ones that brought their ‘A’ game today. Our players HAS to step up and not depend on Paige to save them every time.
The Lynx got it right by drafting Diamond Miller & Dorka Juhász. Both have stepped into starting roles & looked great. Here’s their stats post All Star break:
Miller:
16.2 PTS | 4.4 REB | 4.6 AST | 43% FG
Juhász:
10.0 PTS | 9.8 REB | 2.0 AST | 54% FG

Sarah Strong committing to UConn was probably the best decision for her once you think about it! Being surrounded by shooters will create space for Sarah to do her thing in the paint, shoot from the outside, create for herself and teammates!
UConnWBB once again generated the third highest women basketball viewed game this season that wasn’t aired on ESPN. UConn hasn’t played a game on ESPN since January 17th and has had the most viewed games without the network. So much for that “Uconn bias”.. I guess 🥱
Paige Bueckers is a superstar man. It’s not just her basketball skills but her ability to engage with fans, humanity, and being an unselfish person. She’s the goat fr!
For UConn to have a rough start in the beginning of the szn and dealing with injuries. They are playing so well balanced on the offensive and defensive end. Our girls really locked in and stick together through it all. That’s all we ever wanted!
I don’t y’all understand the dynamic Paige Bueckers has changed when she committed to UConn. I literally remember being in my room jumping up & down that we got “one of THOSE players” that comes around every 10 yrs to commit to UConn again. Thank you Paige for staying!! We 💙 u!
Hmm is Lou Lopez the best transfer we’ve had at UConn in the last 10 seasons? Usually it takes time for transfers to adjust playing at UConn but it seems like she’s been playing here for four years already.
Things go right when Paige Bueckers is running the point and offense is build around her. That is might how it needs to be for the rest of the szn until players step up.
The beauty of being a five dimensional player, shooting 3s effortlessly, and score whatever you want on the court offensively. Breanna Stewart is one of a kind and I definitely won’t take a rare talent for granted. MVP, me thinks.
Just a random reminder that
@UConnWBB
is not going anywhere no time soon and we stay with the elite guards. Our future Huskies Allie Ziebell, Morgan Cheli, and Kelis Fisher will be put on a masterclass backcourt!
There will never be another player like Diana Taurasi & the confidence/swag she possesses. Her ability to carry a team, take over games, & be clutch under pressure since her college career, says a lot. Y’all take her for granted but the league won’t be the same once she retires.
Honestly, this might be a unpopular opinion but I’m kind of relieved that the final four streak broke. So the media/people can stop talking about it and won’t build so much pressure on our girls. They should be able to play free with no record streak over their heads next season.
It’s funny how a hater tried to pull narrative that sports awards and media outlets shows “UConn bias” but in fact UConn players and coaches are the most unappreciated in WCBB for the last five years.
Paige Bueckers was asked if all UConn's injuries will impact her decision about whether to return next season.
"I think that’s the deciding factor, just wanting to be here longer and not anything necessarily that's already picked and chosen in the draft."

UConn is arguably one of the most battle-tested teams in WCBB this season, and Aaliyah Edwards may indeed be the most battle-tested power forward this season. Take a look at Edwards' résumé against tough competition:
23 PTS | 11 RBS | 3 AST | 1 STL vs
#15
Notre Dame
22 PTS |
Once you think about it.. Breanna Stewart had a unreal college career. Four national championships, four finals MVPs, three National POTY awards, two undefeated seasons and then some. That’s something you dream and fantasize about as a player; not what you expect in reality.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my absolute fav
@paigebueckers1
. You could’ve chose anywhere in the world to play basketball but chose UConn and I’m forever thankful for that. UConnNation love and appreciate you always!
A special day, for a special person 🐐
@UConnWBB
@WellsFargo
Idk why I see negative comments right now? Our girls battle it the entire game against the no.1 defense in the country. This is March Madness for a reason. Every game is not going to always be smooth and pretty. Be thankful we won and advance.
@WBBWorldWide
@breannastewart
Four national championships, four finals MVPs, three National POTY awards, two undefeated seasons, 151-5 and then some. Like who’s seeing ha? Her resume is perfection.
I remember when a reporter asked Geno if he could’ve had coach three players that didn’t play at UConn who would they be? Brittney Griner was one of them. I just know he would’ve LOVED coaching her at UConn.
Dear Maya Moore,
THANK YOU for all you have contributed to basketball. You are one of the main reasons why I fell in love with the sport. Not only will I miss your superlative talent on the court but high character you possessed on and off. There will never be another like you!
