I adore the Nolan trilogy, but, to me, it always felt like Chris had to rationalize and justify the existence of Batman in the modern world. Where as The Batman just sincerely brings him into it without needing to explain. That’s the major difference to me.

Bale is one of our greatest living actors. But he did not elevate this dialogue in the way Conroy did. Batman is stilted, composed and entirely weird. Bale brought too much of his naturalism to it, making it feel stiffer than it ever should.

I just think it’s hilarious that the S3 writers legit had a whole game plan for S4 ready to go. And instead of even hearing that game plan… they shot half a season of show, scrapped that entire show, realized that the original was peak, and are now trying to make a S4.
