With all due respect Secret Invasion was absolutely bad and CA:TFA is absolutely a banger 🔥 But I agree with the overall sentiment
*IF* Captain America: Brave New World is a mid movie, the internet will call it "garbage" because it wasn't a banger. Please remember that not all MCU movies can be bangers. Not even Cap 1 was a banger. Some can just be a normal comic book issue brought to life. "Garbage" is Madame Web, Morbius, WW84, Dark Phoenix, New Mutants, Fant4stic 2015, etc.. The MCU has yet to fail THAT badly. "MT, but Secret Invasion!" Secret Invasion is probably the worst thing Marvel Studios has produced, yes...but it's still not BAD. Just a series of missed opportunities that ended ridiculously. There are moments in Secret Invasion that I genuinely loved...and the dialogue was incredible a lot of the time. Kevin Feige legit will not allow a bad MCU project to be released IMO. The worst we can get is a "messy mid". And while that obviously isn't ideal when it happens, it's also not a mark that "Marvel is cooked" or "This character can't hold a franchise". It just means that there's room for improvement...and the MCU knows how to learn from their creative mistakes. Daredevil Born Again's creative revamp is a testament to that. Just because a movie doesn't hit your specific expectations, doesn't make it bad. It just makes it a bit of a letdown. Bad acting, nonsensical plot and uninteresting characters make for a bad project. Marvel Studios doesn't make those. That's Sony's job.
