The wonderful @davidjalmond is sharing his journey to becoming a writer. We LOVED hearing his talk about how inspiration can come from our own lives - “we are ordinary but we are also extraordinary.” And, talking about the development of creativity, language and stories, David said: “I’m trying to make my stories dance and sing in the way they did in caves.” Beautiful! #PowerfulPedagogy

Wayne Tennent is helping us all to think deeply about comprehension and just how complex the act of understanding what we read is. He’s providing us with useful, simple frameworks to help us develop and nurture comprehension within our readers. #PowerfulPedagogy

We could have listened to @SnellJulia talk about the pedagogy of dialogic teaching all day! She addressed some of the barriers to this approach and in doing so helped us to understand how to overcome those barriers to foster classrooms where dialogue underpins thinking and learning. #PowerfulPedagogy
