This is a very telling development off the back of yesterday's Upload report!
nDreams closing 2 studios and announcing Compass Studio. Staff from nDreams' core team and Orbital Studio will make up the 40-person Compass. Staff not transitioning have been laid off. Compass will focus on "young VR natives" with rapid prototyping.

Or, hey, maybe the game's current sales would have been just fine if you didn't flip flop on making it live service during the course of its development anyway. But, no, yeah, sure. The only answer must be to make it live service. That's what worked for Baldur's Gate III!
EA suggests Dragon Age: The Veilguard might have sold better if it was live-service - so what does this mean for Mass Effect 5?

@MylesDyer @Flat2VRStudios If it isn't an enormous Trombone I'm going to be very disappointed.

@CactusVRStudios Yeah something like this is 100% dependent on the payout the big corp gives. For Microsoft's own close partners it's a vital lifeline but for anyone trying to get noticed it's no doubt pretty grim.

@benz145 Eeeeeh I just really struggle with this unless you're talking about buying your kids a unit. Meta makes amazing fresnel devices but I can't go back from pancake and I think it removes so much 'faff' for newcomers.

MultiVersus was really fun. Figuring out how to play the game without sinking $$$ into the F2P model was terrible. This should have been a $40 game with a Smash-like DLC program. It would have been *fine* as that. Now it's going offline.
It's been an incredible ride, MVPs. Thank you for all the support. For more details, please visit our blog post and FAQ
