Just took a call from a Sponsee's Girlfriend. He relapsed, skipped work spent the day in a pub. Came home and the argument started. He attempted to stab her but Thank God missed tripped and fell. She got away. Now in a Police Cell. Now tell me about consequences of drinking?

Just had a very beautiful experience 2.55am woken by Sponsee call she can't sleep, feelings of despair and alone. The reason she rang was to ask me to read from the BBook to help her fall asleep. "A Vision For You" seemed appropriate, one more sober day for both of us, Thank God

Relapse is NOT part of Recovery. It is in fact part of your disease. Telling people, "there, there you will be ok, just start again" is lethal. There comes a day when that opportunity may not come, because a Relapse could be your last. Bless you for your honesty.

Everything I have in my life today, is down to the 12 Step Program of AA, The God of My Understanding. Good Sponsorship, and a daily set of actions, and disciplines that keep me in Fit Spiritual Condition. It Worked only when I started to Work it 🙏📘

So I made a decision with a lot of deliberation as well as Prayer and Meditation. To step down from a role in work that I worked hard to obtain. Sad very sad but that's my pride. But relieved that I have placed my recovery first. New beginnings rather than bitter ends
