The stimmy keeps on coming 🍾 Inflation adjustments to social security and increases in retiree healthcare (+150bn) completely offset expiring income tax credits (-$150bn)… Next year those two categories will rise by another $200bn yet again (~1% of GDP) with no real offset. This is all due to a massive wave of retirees now eligible to receive government benefits… 💴 💴 💴

@EconomPic @byHeatherLong @sonusvarghese There was only a 6% shift so it’s possible..: would have had to have taken over half the jobs. Food + retail probably explains most of it,

@irecep2 Yes. Mostly just for show until they address mandatory spending cuts. Also kind of telling they won’t even consider adjusting the tax cuts

@tobyzapf That was the biggest miscalculation I made with Trump in 2016. I expected there to be outrage fatigue. Just have a tantrum and get it all out. Unfortunately he is an animating force for the 🦇 💩 crazies
