Given that the only passport I’ve ever had (I’m on number three now) has been the maroon EU one, I can’t be the only one that fails to see how the blue one is “iconic” 🤔

Well sad to say I think there are people out there who genuinely do think being aware of social injustices is a bad thing. I guess it's that "I'm alright Jack" mentality so why should I care about anyone else.

Wasn’t racism the first thing that came to your mind when she’s telling her story? The implication that black person in court equals criminal. I don’t think it needs to be spelled out like we’re watching Sesame Street.

It could've been petrol, it could've been urine, it could've been paint stripper, etc etc. But it wasn't. It was a milkshake. So why not deal with what it was rather than what it could have been.
@Nick_Pettigrew
Let's assume for a moment this is a real person; why on earth would they be "shaking all over" going to a polling station? It's not like they're about to go on X Factor.

Question: If the 1969 NASA moon landing was real, then why didn't they land humans on the moon again after 1969.
They did. Twice in 1971 and twice in 1972.

How arrogant and offensive. The UK isn’t the US’ poodle. Of course it must be difficult to understand the concept of allies, coming from a country that doesn’t appear to have any.

I read this on The Guardian but didn't see a thing on the BBC. Thousands marching right on their doorstep is a bit of a silly thing to ignore.

She’s extending thanks to Taiwan for help. Nothing more. Who it does or doesn’t belong to is quite beside the point. You said yourself to keep politics out of this.

I disagree with practically everything Darren Grimes says but it’s very low to make comments about how his mother looks because you don’t like him.

It’s interesting that your default positions here have been that first, the story isn’t true and second, you have a better understanding of the situation than the woman this happened to. I’m struggling to understand you.

Odd, I don't recall anti-Ukraine war protesters being told to take their protest to Kiev. Or anti-Brexit protesters being instructed to march only in Brussels. There's quite a few things these days that make me ashamed to be British and students protesting isn't one of them.

I was a mature student when I finally made it to university and was 25 when I graduated and in many ways I felt I was doing it all "late". But, everything happens when it's supposed to I guess.

Quite aside from the fact that I think "Sharia Law is indeed coming" is bollocks, even if it did you do know it doesn't apply to non-Muslims, right?

How do you know they haven't integrated? For that matter, how do you know they weren't born in Poland? They're just sitting there minding their own business and bothering no one.

What is really obnoxious is the idea that Chinese people can’t be angry of their own accord without foreigners goading them into it. How insulting.

Does this include British Muslims because I'm struggling to get my head around how you'd deport a British citizen and where you'd send them to?

Well it makes her an authority on what it feels like to have lost a child and to not want other parents to have to go through the same thing. Just a guess, you know using my brain 🤷🏼♂️
