It was so obvious that the Government would just make the hospitality curfew a few hours later than 5pm & claim victory. Some fucking triumph having to leave the pub at 8pm at Christmas time despite having three vaccines & close to no chance of falling seriously ill from Covid.

There has 'never been a better time to borrow', says @PearseDoherty . The risk, he says, is not that we do too much - but too little. The party would introduce a tiered approach to wage subsidies- taking account of severely and moderately affected sectors of the economy.

Why are so many TDs who are absolutely NOT going to get re-elected (in most cases, because they only got in on Sinn Féin transfers last time out which won't happen this time) calling for an immediate general election? Turkeys voting for Christmas.

@aoifegracemoore This really could have been a reply to the original tweet. There’s something strange about a prominent national journalist scolding some 18 year old and sending their followers to reprimand him.

Wanna know the reason why people like me- clearly a progressive of the centre-left - interact so much with FF/FG? Because they tolerate dissent and encourage debate. FFers never shut up about Micheál, FGers are always the biggest pain in Leo’s ear. Disobey Mary Lou and be damned!

When did the term ‘citizen journalist’ become a synonym for ‘prick with an iPhone’?

Mary Lou McDonald is my Taoiseach. Jeremy Corbyn is my Prime Minister. Anyone who says otherwise is a neoliberal shill.

I'm not sure what is funnier - the ignoring of the fact that the number of people emigrating has fallen steadily over the past 10 years or the idea that we need Liadh Ní Riada, of all people, to be the political hero to fix the issue or any issue.

My eldest 21yr old who has a job just told me that everyone her age including herself are saving up to emigrate..she then said 'Mom you have to get back into politics to stop this' she wants to stay here but can't afford to.. #heartbreaking

You’re not a socialist or a Republican if you show basic economic understanding.
