Veteran at my studio, who is friends with Iso, told me that: Iso had his own room at IG when he was working on EVA, and he used to act out the motions of the EVA while animating. He got so into it once that he apparently punched a hole in the wall.

As an animator myself, who, as a concept, loves animation, I want to talk about the trend in recent years that is "flashy animation" (for a lack of a better word). That being the type of animation that has a lot of fast motions, quick cuts and bright effects flashing rapidly.

I don't understand why people who does/likes animation interacts/follows the bad animation takes account, it's inherently toxic and furthers the elitist and toxic community in the animation circles. Like why be a part of that?

Seriously, seeing a lot of mutuals and people I know through the internet get heaps of layout and genga work, while I'm taking the long route through douga, is so painful at times I'd rather jump in front of the shinkansen. I know it's not a race, but I've been at this for years.
