Alongside every superstar is a mentor.
Just ask Jayden Daniels, who used the ultimate platform on Saturday to thank his.
Meet Sherman Wilson, a recruiting specialist and Daniels’ closest confidant, who pushed LSU’s Heisman to unlock his full potential.
Flau’jae Johnson says that Kim Mulkey has given her the confidence to pursue both of her dreams as a rapper and a basketball player.
“She says: I don’t care if you’re an astronaut, as long as you land on the moon and come back before practice … do what you want to do.”
Malik Nabers wipes away tears as Jayden Daniels is interviewed by ESPN.
The best receiver in the country has passion and pride for those three letters across his chest.
When Kim Mulkey was hired at LSU, she saw Final Four banners hanging from the rafters.
Nowhere on those banners did it say national champions.
That’s what she came home to do, and on Sunday, she made good on her word.
A promise made, a promise kept.
Tommy White: “I’m just a baseball player, a third baseman … the love that I have received from LSU has been second to none. I am so thankful and blessed to be a part of this.”
Jay Johnson: “That’s one of the greatest moments of my life. Couldn’t be more proud of our team. The best pitched college baseball game I’ve ever seen. We slayed a giant tonight. If you’re one of the best players in the transfer portal, there’s only place to come play.”
Angel Reese: “I wish we could take all (our fans) to Albany. At one point I couldn’t hear anything in the PMAC. My ears went numb … Whatever decision I make, I’ll always love the PMAC.”
Brian Kelly: “I was emotional, not for myself, but for our team because I know what we looked like in January, and to see where we are today, that’s pretty emotional.”
Jay Clark on DD Breaux: “She gave me an opportunity to join her when I needed one. The facility we have and the 43 years she put in, the battles that she fought … I felt it was important that when this program won its first national title that it be hers as well.”
Jay Johnson: “State of Louisiana, LSU - you have my entire heart. There’s nowhere else in the world that I want to coach baseball than right here, right now. I love you guys.”
Both

check in at No. 12 in this week’s AP Poll.
Something special is brewing at the PMAC.
I’m just excited to be along for the ride.
Heisman Trophy finalists announced:
1. Joe Burrow
2. Player who gets to sit next to Joe Burrow
3. Player who gets to sit next to the player who gets to sit next to Joe Burrow
Jim Schlossnagle on LSU’s Paul Skenes: “I’ve been doing this 33 years and Stephen Strasburg, Mark Prior and Paul Skenes are the best I’ve ever seen. He’s pitching in the wrong league, I’ll tell you that. He needs to be in the American or National League.”
Last December, Marshall Graves received the scholarship of the late Wayde Sims, who wore the No. 44 at LSU.
In the final seconds of his last-ever game at the PMAC, Graves attempted a shot with 44 seconds remaining.
Of course it went in. It had to.
Joe Burrow in Off The Bench this morning on what Louisiana means to him: “They gave me my career. Coach O and LSU resurrected my career and made me what I am today. They gave me the platform and the opportunity. It’s not the last you’ll see of me, I’ll be back all the time.”

Brian Kelly's PSA with an 11 a.m. kickoff on Saturday:
"It's Tiger Stadium. It's LSU football. If you're not excited for that, I don't know what gets you going. LSU is playing Tennessee in Tiger Stadium ... tell me what else is better to do."
Kim Mulkey: "Compliment the fans. Goodness gracious. I don't think I saw an empty seat. It was everything that young people need to experience in college. Thank you to all the people that made that happen. It was good for women's basketball. Period."
“One of my most enjoyable years ever in my career. You can see the impact that one program can have on an entire university.”
Year 1 of the Mulkey Era at

was one we won’t forget for a very long time.
Brian Kelly on Jayden Daniels: "He's the best quarterback in the country. He's the best playmaker in the country. I've watched them all. We're 7-3. That doesn't mean anything. It matters who the best player is and he's the best player."
Matt McMahon: “Proud of our program. I didn’t come to LSU to celebrate being 9-9 (in conference), but sometimes we all think success is this easy climb. 23 months ago, LSU didn’t have a basketball program … It’s an accomplishment.”
Cade Beloso thinks they’re going to have to build a new intimidator at Alex Box for what
@LSUCoachJ
is going to do at LSU.
“He's coming. He's not stopping. I promise that."
Will Wade: “We’re so connected and so tough. The tougher the circumstance, the better we are. It doesn’t get any tougher than tonight. We’re fighters, man. That’s what our program is about.”

Brian Kelly on Myles Brennan: “He’s a Tiger. He loves LSU. He’s in so much better shape. Physically, he’s in a good spot. Mentally, he’s in a good spot. That is such a great commodity to have in college football today.”
Kim Mulkey: "I just wanted to come back to the state of Louisiana and come home. What really makes me smile is not cutting that net down, but looking around at those LSU people, looking at those players I get to coach, getting to experience this for the first time."
Brad Davis on being the interim head coach in the Texas Bowl: “I’ve been preparing for this my whole life. I’m from North Baton Rouge. I’m so proud to represent the people that I grew up with. I’m awfully proud to coach at LSU.”
Keep in mind that

DBU looks in good shape.
LSU safety Todd Harris announces via Instagram that he’s returning to school for his senior season. Another veteran coming back for the Tigers in 2021.
Myles Brennan: "I never had any doubt that I would get to where I am today. That's why I'm still here. I wasn't going to let adversity get in the way from achieving my dream."

Brian Kelly: “This foundation is really strong and we’ll be able to continue to build on it. I don’t believe the gap is something we can’t continue to close and get back here next year. That’ll be our goal. To get back here and to win it.”
Garrett Nussmeier: “It matters to me - to wear this state on my jersey, to have LSU on my helmet. It means something. I was born in Lake Charles, that’s my home. Louisiana is the only constant place in my life. That’s why I came back. It matters to me to finish what I started.”
Paul Skenes on breaking
@realbenmcdonald
’s

and SEC single-season strikeout record: “It’s cool to leave a legacy.”
That, he did.
Thank you, Paul.
Kim Mulkey: “I said it at my first press conference, and I’ll say it to the day I retire or die: I want (this program) to be a positive. As a native person that grew up here, I want to do a job where everybody says “wow.” What we didn’t know was that it would be this quick.”
Dylan Crews on his 2-RBI double in the eighth: “That’s what makes LSU legends. I felt very confident walking up to the plate. I knew what the guy was going to throw me, and I wasn’t going to miss it.”
Jay Johnson on Riley Cooper: “It’s not about spin rate. It’s not about velocity. It’s about pitch execution and winners, and he is a winner. That’s why I believe in him.”
Paul Mainieri says when Dylan Crews informed him he was taking his name out of the draft and coming to LSU, he stopped his car on Perkins Rd., put his hand over the phone and let out a few happy yells, before returning to the call.
