This past weekend, Coach Joel Hawkins surpassed his 700th career win! Coach Hawkins has been the Head Coach at Highland since 1991. What an amazing accomplishment! 702 and counting. Congrats Coach!

The Bulldogs went to WORK in Mascoutah tonight. Highland defeats Mascoutah 29-27. The varsity team is headed to Effingham next Friday for the last regular season game of the year.
September is Pediatric Cancer awareness month. Tonight Leaps of Love joined us to continue to bring awareness to this awful disease. We were honored to recognize student, Paul Lyons and coach, Austin Welz, both pediatric cancer survivors! 💛💛💛
The Highland Lady Bulldogs defeated Vincennes Alices 55-49 in the Breese Central Shootout. Bella LaPorta was the Highland player of the game as she set a new shootout record for points scored, 23. Well done ladies!

It appears that Brady Feldmann tied a 5A playoff record with 6 TDs against Rich Central helping propel the Bulldogs to victory. As a true team player, Brady doesn’t worry about individual stats, but this is quite an accomplishment for the strong, shifty, and speedy tailback.

Today has been an extremely tough day at MHS. We mourn the loss of Coach Justin Love. He was an inspiration to so many young people and an absolute joy to be around daily. Our thoughts and prayers are with his entire family. His impact on our school community is unforgettable.
Congrats to Coach Warnecke and the football team on their win over Mascoutah 56-0. They move their record to 7-1, 5-0 in the MVC, and clinch the MVC Championship. They will be in action next Friday for Senior Night vs Effingham.

Congratulations to Jake Ottensmeier as he broke the record for single season 3 point field goals made, which was 65. He also holds the record for career 3 point field goals made with over 178 and counting. The previous mark was 170. Congrats again to Jake!

HHS Custodian, Kirk Essenpreis safely handles a snapping turtle that ended up near a trash can in the HHS Parking Lot. He’s been named “Sharkey the Snapper” and has been safely released back into his natural habitat. Good work Kirk!
