I am 73 and don't understand what is going on. I was at a college last night with 'gender neutral' toilets. There was a male cubicle and a male/female one. That is not gender neutral - that is putting men in a privileged position. Why can't we keep the women's toilets?
I don’t agree with the notion that trans women are men (though I do recognise we are biologically Male). But the idea of people being censored for expressing thoughts should worry us all. Free speech means hearing things you don’t agree with!

Yes it is difficult to comprehend. How can someone spend all day killing and torturing people and then go home to one's family in the villa on the site of Auschwitz and sit and eat a cosy family dinner. But they did day after day.
One of the biggest challenge when we study the tragedy of

Very privileged to be present at today's funeral of 6 unknown Jewish people. Very poignant unique ceremony - my grandfather Armin Klein was killed at Auschwitz on a date unknown to us and has no grave. He was taken off a bus and had no chance to say goodbye to his family.

My father was taken for forced labour in 1943 - he survived but he was very bitter about his experiences. I don't have any siblings because he said it wasn't a world to bring children into. In 1955, when I was 10, he committed suicide. Those who don't remember are still scarred.
Hungary's oldest Holocaust survivor, Elemer Spiegler, passed away aged 106. As a shoemaker, he was forced into mandatory labour for Jews under the regime of Miklos Horty. In 1944, Spiegler was sent to the Mauthausen camp where he was liberated in May 1945:

I did an MA in my 50s which led to me publishing three books on the Holocaust. I have received two honorary doctorates this year from Oxford Brookes and Sheffield Universities for my work on the Holocaust. I am 74 - you are never too old.
Mine graduated at 76! She brought 3 of us up on her own,had 2 successful careers, told at school girls like her(council estate, scholarship to grammar)didn't go to university.On graduation day she wished her dad could've been there; he'd have been so proud!

Mark Rylance is not a neutral observer. He supports the BDS movement; he signs letters banning Israelis from performing in the UK. Rylance is antisemitic.

Emily Thornberry was speaking in Sept, at the launch of the design for the Holocaust Memorial in Westminster, about the need to fight anti-Semitism. I asked how she could stand there saying that when her party was doing nothing about the AS in their party. She just looked cross.

They might be even more shocked to know that when the Nazis decided the fate of European Jewry at the Wannsee Conference, 20 January 1942, of the 15 who attended, 8 had doctorates. As USHMM said 'Never before had a modern state committed itself to the murder of an entire people'.
Today in my class on the Holocaust, my student learned that university students were heavily involved in the book burnings of 1933.
They were shocked that education was no barrier to prejudice.
