@miklosSnagy Absolutely! Its plural form points to Godโs nature, aligning with Heb 1:8, where the Father calls Jesus โGodโ. This echoes Ps 45:6 & Jn 1:1, confirming Christโs full divinity. Col 2:9 affirms that in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead. Jesus isnโt just from GodโHe is God!

The Trinity is still a Biblical doctrine. Scripture clearly teaches the triune nature of God. See the other Scriptures cited. So even without 1 John 5:7, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are revealed as one God throughout Scripture. The doctrine stands on solid ground.
