#Ergo governance sacks At the protocol level, we depend on Alex’s @chepurnoy exceptional domain expertise and his ability to interpret and engineer scientific research, along with the straightforward miner-base voting. However, when it comes to other aspects—like adjusting SigUSD parameters—we simply lack the necessary processes. Being decentralised, shouldn’t mean being broken or stagnant for years. Ironically, we now have an excellent governance tool at our disposal: @PaideiaDAO By building proper processes on top of Paideia, we can create a reasonable mechanism to manage various aspects of ERGO such as SigUSD parameters and key management. After observing how other ecosystems operate and considering this issue for some time, I believe the best approach is to establish a representative democracy framework. Here’s a practical outline of the process: 1-Establish a Community DAO with a fixed number of seats (e.g., 11, 15, or 21) Allow candidates who wish to become Community DAO dREPs to submit their applications over a one-week period 2-Community Voting: Each community member can vote for dREP candidates 3-The candidates with the most votes receive Community DAO tokens The Community DAO will then be responsible for reviewing and voting on proposals related to various decentralised protocols built on top of Ergo that currently lack proper governance. While this model is simplified—and the chosen numbers may be somewhat arbitrary—it provides a straightforward framework to govern non-core development aspects of the ecosystem.
