As time went on, Alvarez continued to whittle down his effective zone so that he was hitting .400+ with power up and in, but hitting .150 everywhere else. He was far more balanced in 2023 (though still weak away, as many are).
This is one of the worst zone profiles I've ever seen. You can't give up more than half of the strike zone and hit a combined .140. No major leaguer can do that. I had assumed he was hurt-- but perhaps he's just a mess.

Thanks everyone! Follow up question-- I'll be stuck in the hotel at night as I'll be solo w/ the kid, are there any hotels in the neighborhood that have good restaurants/bars right downstairs?
Spring Training Aficionados: - what’s the best airport to fly in? - Airbnb or hotel? How far? - is it friendly for younger kids (2.5)? Presumably to see the Mets at home, rather than risk SS on the road.

@sw_holocron These guys had the best actors and best crew last time, too-- the sound and cinematics and CG on the Sequel Trilogy were great. They just had the world's most idiotic writers and producers.
