I come from NOTHING! My parents gave me NOTHING in the way of financial aid. In fact, my dad died 2 wks after I started college.
I worked my butt off to put myself through school. It took 10 semesters over 6 years of working 60+ hrs a week farming, feeding cattle, etc.

Update:
Steve, my friend of nearly 40 yrs lost his battle w/ cancer today. He leaves behind his wife of 27 years, 2 grown children & a grandson.
The joy in this is Steve knew the Lord & was at peace with his fate.
Praise the doctors who worked to extend Steve's life.
