This is my great great uncle George who was killed in action on 28 March 1918 in France. He had previously been wounded in action, returned to the UK and then sent back to France. He died about two weeks after his return. He was 22. #LestWeForget

@VintageMrHobbes @yuanyi_z Kick them out pronto. No right of appeal. The deportation is a huge punishment in and of itself. At the moment they’re in our prisons learning bricklaying with family on hand to visit. Chuck them out and let the family fight among themselves as to whether they follow the crim.

@yuanyi_z @VintageMrHobbes No it’s not. They are arrested, charged, convicted and sentenced. Then deported to their own country. The deporting is a huge part of the punishment and deterrent. I don’t care what their own country does with them - we should focus on ensuring they can’t get into UK again

@yuanyi_z @VintageMrHobbes I suspect even Rwanda would lock that thing up for public safety reasons. I couldn’t care less about the state of their prisons and how his human rights would be impacted by residing in one. He’s British citizen though so not relevant

@yuanyi_z This shows why we have to quickly work on getting to a place where we have strong border security. Then we can deport these people and they’re Albania’s problem to put in prison if they want or not. We can feel more secure that the risk of them re-entering the UK is mitigated

Right decision. Gender has never been popular with the public and has already brought down Sturgeon, Humza Yousef, Trudeau and Kamala Harris. Let's not make the same mistakes over here.

Utterly dreadful
Barrister gets burgled. Criminal leaves behind their OWN BAIL NOTICE - showing they had been released only HOURS previously. No arrests. Nothing happens. Of other crimes @paulpowlesland says "I didn't even report them to police because what's the point?" We deserve better.
