Because what with every big name company laying people off, dreaming of AI replacements, every government throwing everyone under the bus to allow AI companies to do what they want, it sure doesn't scream "punk rock" in fact I would say it's exactly the reverse of punk rock

Spiderverse had one of the largest teams of animators to *ever* work on an animated movie, so I can assure you that it didn’t steal anyone’s job. THIS is ethical use of AI. It’s not stealing from anyone, and it’s making the animators life easier by eliminating repetitive tasks.
Reminder that even on the first movie the Spiderverse team literally used AI in the process of making the film. We are little by little losing the fight against AI art.
