It also differs which region, in my village/town that word was another word for ‘idiot’ or ‘dumbass’ interestingly. I only found out of the other darker meanings during my undergrad when saying ‘I feel like such a nonce in this lecture’ and then being swarmed by ‘WTF LUKE’

The best thing I've found about my MRes so far is if I've got a point of interest I want to explore for my research, I fully can!
Exhuming my Phase 3 samples went great, now just sampling my bones from Phase 1 and 2 to see what useful info I can find out from the FTIR :)

Excavated at another trench today where Roman roof tiles were found!
Roof tiles previously found in the area have brilliant zoomorphic logos on them from an eagle to a wolf!

Sibiu was fantastic yesterday. The ASTRA National Museum Complex was an amazing visit to observe pre-industrial craft & culture! The main town has a lot of brill museums and the Evangelical clock tower gave a gorgeous view.

The skeletal remains are fascinating! They weren't found in anatomical position nor are they in a multi-funerary complex like previous period excavations in this area...this is fueling my passion for investigating the dead further!
