My 30+ years employed in the government qualifies me to say you're full of shit. It has been used for years to stop white men in the employment sector, especially with contracts. I've seen so many contracts awarded to minorities who simply create a title, then buy products from non-minority businesses, then resell them to the government for 40%+ mark ups. One vendor just has the supplies shipped directly from Amazon to us and the collect a 40% profit for making the Amazon order for pest repellent.

One thing I've learned about the left over the last 59 years is that regardless of how reasonable a position is, if we allow it, they will then morph it into something more and the slippery slope to ludicrous Authoritarian laws get passed. See gay marriage to what is now State Enforced Sodomy education for elementary students in California as one example.
