Some good Bucks news for Friday- first vaccinations in Bucks have gone through the 300k mark, our reduction in homelessness was 3rd highest nationally and our new jobs postings across the County are the highest for over a year.

A highlight of being a member of the Police’s Independent Advisory Group is congratulating award winners. At this evening’s awards ceremony in Missenden Abbey we heard of officers smashing County Drugs lines, preventing suicide attempts and breaking modern slavery rings.
This week is National Volunteers’ Week and we would like to say a huge thank you to all the volunteers in Buckinghamshire!

Chalfont St Peter flooding and sewage leaks -
Following the unacceptable sewage flooding the High Street in Chalfont St Peter I have been in regular contact with Thames Water to share the concerns and frustrations of many local residents and businesses who have been affected.
Support growing for the campaign - today out in Hazlemere with Steve Roy, our great candidate for the Bucks Council by-election on 22nd February. It was great to meet so many residents and we’re continuing to work hard all year round!

Today, along with CSP Councillors Isobel Darby and Linda Smith, I met with Thames Water, Bucks Highways and the EA on-site to discuss reopening the carpark as soon as possible to encourage customers back into our shops.

Daniel Morris, Feltham, has pleaded guilty to 5 large fly-tipping offences in Buckinghamshire after offering disposal services to residential properties where building works were taking place & illegally dumping the waste in the

Action on cost of living - Great to be at the Heart of Bucks annual reception this evening. With a focus on the Cost of living pressures, the partnership working with Buckinghamshire Council has seen over £600k of grants since the launch of the Helping Hands fund.
I was honoured to give the opening address at the Bucks Charity Leaders Conference today. It was great to thank so many of our local charities for their work during Covid. The calibre of the speakers considerably improved during the day!

Yesterday, colleagues at our Pembroke Road depot came together to celebrate with Tom Malinowski as he reached 40 years as a Street Cleansing Operative in Buckinghamshire. An amazing achievement! Thank you for your hard work and dedication, Tom!
