The CPP and EI increases are indexed to inflation. There are no new federal taxes, nor any increases to CPP or EI beyond the inflationary adjustment. Life is more expensive than ever, but this blame is just plain misinformation.
I’d like to thank

for the pay cut I received this year. I’m making $265 less each pay period than I was last year. More federal taxes, CPP, and EI. If MP’s get any form of a pay raise this year it speaks to how they feel about the middle class.
