And... talking with a friend we thought that the Chainsawman adaptation would have been better this way. Oneiric, demonic, without definite form. Much easier to animate and produce, plus a nice freedom to do amazing things with him

This is literally the worst example to set. Your drawing needs to be solid and worked on to help the sakkan and production. We're called to help, not "flex". Setting this kind of example in public will encourage all new freelance animators to have the wrong mindset. Internally,

Also don't forget my colleagues who did the genga of the cuts, they are all great.
The difference that a good post-production can or cannot make is simply abysmal. Ufotable came showing how well it can adapt to CGI scenarios and light treatment; Now it seems that MAPPA jumped on the bandwagon, and look at the beautiful things they are doing lately.
Basically y'all want to kill Naruto with a remake.
Most of the iconic moments in the series can't be better with a remake, sorry but nothing can surpass Tsuru, Suzuki, Wakabayashi, Norio, Gorou and Yamashita's original work.
Some better visual effects won't make it any better.

A random guy in sakugabooru said it's called "character retouch", it's something similar to what wit studio did in AOT and Kabaneri, only for akebi-chan it was done outsourced unlike wit which was done in-house.

Show is produced by Studio Bones, so the production value is top notch. 51 eps of the same characters and setting that made BH so charming. Definitely worth it.
Honestly it's a shame he was introduced to models like these at such an early stage, if miyazaki saw what they are capable of now, and how amazingly they can be implemented...
