A lot of uproar about the price of the Xbox SSD. It’s a proprietary connection, XVA tech, in a tiny form factor complete with enclosure, with thermals a none issue, and is hot swappable.
Expecting it to be dirt cheap is just moronic. It’s priced fine for what it actually is. 👍🏻

Tonight sorted. Although I feel I’ve made the wrong choice, as I heard it drops frames 0.01% of the time in a single area, in a single map, and would much rather have 60fps 100% of the time at 44% lower resolution and lower quality shadows... Oh well. 🤷🏼

patch 1.05 is getting enough credit. The performance is fantastic and usually upper 60, the visuals damn good, and on XSX at least there are no issues that would be deemed game breaking. After just a week, that’s damn good.

I can’t stress just how forward thinking the Xbox team were with so many things. Every time I use my XSX everything is just there, working and ready. On my other console, it always feels like such an up hill battle to do even basic stuff. It’s really not even close. 🤷🏼♂️

There are so many issues with PS5, I’m actually a little worried about my console on Thursday. Xbox had a fair few but it’s being dwarfed by these PS5 ones (which are also not being reported by the big sites, but vaping consoles are fair game oddly. Funny that).

When I bought my PS5, I had to make triple sure the saves I wanted were backed up to usb, incase the ps+ transfer didn’t work. Then check they were even compatible, or not protected. I then farted around in the ui for ages.
When I got my XSX, I turned it on. 🤷🏼

I just tried Redfall after the update… it feels so much better. Like a new game even. Absolutely brilliant feeling to play, and if it came out this way it would have been much better received.

I, erm... thought Spider Man on PS4 was a bit average, a good game but full off so much filler and and boring side stuff. I also think TLOU2, while gorgeous, is a dull game that goes on twice as long as it should and doesn’t hold a candle to the first.

So let me get this right... PS5 has no quick resume (just switcher for last played games i.e a fresh load), a 2/4/6 w/e hour controller battery, no native 1440p, slower loads on pretty much everything *ATM*, and you can’t even store PS5 games on an external...?

• Greatly improves screen tearing to the point it’s far less frequent, just like PS5.
• If you want it “gone” use the 30fps mode.
• But 30fps (obviously) feels like ass.
