Start with power unplugged, move power switch to ON position, and insert your SD card. Then hold E and F buttons and plug the power in. I just have the game card in, and that shows up blank until it's unlocked, so this is expected.

The good news is the socket works. The bad news is it's about 1mm too wide, and the screen doesn't slot back in. I guess I'm going to trim a little bit off the socket. It's a super tight fit, butting right up against two components. Probably have to leave the cover off.
