Congratulations, swimmers, on another amazing GKAISA City Meet! We saw lots of hard work pay off with some great swims, but most importantly we saw you having fun and cheering on your friends. Congrats to KRC on another one and see you next summer!
Congrulations to Tommy Weir of Jefferson City Swim Club for winning the boys 15-18 50 free in record time with a 20.55. Shout out to Coleman Kredich of University Swim Club for also swimming the race in record time with a 20.59!
The James Rich Courage Award is awarded yearly to an athlete who is a competitor in the 15-18 age group who has overcome adversity. This year's recipient is Jonah McCollum from VGST. Despite recent surgery for a brain tumor, Jonah begged his doctor to return to swim at city.
Congratulations to Kuba Shaw for a breaking a record set by John Ben Campbell in 1997 (27.08) for the 50 free with a new record time of 26.85 in event 64.
Congratulations, swimmers on two great days of competition! We look forward to seeing all those who made it back for tomorrow's finals. Drink lots of water, get a good night's rest, and we will see all your smiling faces bright and early!
In the event of lightning in the area, swimmers in Clerk of Course will be brought into the building. If your swimmers and parents are in the tents and lightning is present in the area, they will be instructed to move to their vehicles or to the SAC. If inside, stay inside.

Today's National Anthem was performed by Evan Ciociari. Evan is 12 and attends Farragut Middle School. He swims for Concord Hills. In addition to the trombone, he plays the French horn. Evan was nominated as a 6th grader to the East Tennessee State Band and Orchestra.
