Parents - PLEASE READ. This is what all great teachers and coaches want for all young boys and girls. Failing teaches all of us more than success does. Prioritize, in order, the following-FAMILY, FAITH, EDUCATION, COMPETITION and then comes everything else!
I hope this helps parents navigating the youth sports landscape. You are not crazy for having a "normal summer" or not putting your kids in specialized lessons at 6 years old. If your kid has the God given ability to play professional sports, trust me you will see it.

They will search JUCO’s and 2’s, then etc. JUCO’s will get stronger and HS Senior pool will shrink. College Athletics will simply change.

@BaseballDudes48 It is so funny when I hear the words OFFERS and SCHOLARSHIPS. Few parents realize that more tuition money is given to ACADEMICS than ATHLETICS at most colleges. The NIL has changed the landscape, but ACADEMICS pay your bills for 98% of all HS players, not ATHLETICS!
