Many, though not all, discussions about Asian Americans and race-conscious college admission ask if they support or oppose it. But are different Asian ethnic groups really on the same page?
@Prof_WCByrd
and I discovered that this is unlikely to be true.

Theorizing in a non-Western country with no English is an odd experience. You start with the assumption that those you rely on or criticize will not read your work. Although many have noted that conversations are important in theorizing, this is not to be expected.

While I'm sharing many qualitative scholars' concerns over there, I believe a comparative study comparing the results from qualitative interviews and AI-assisted interviews will be helpful.
@LauraK_Nelson
and others showed a great example regarding qualitative analysis.
1/ Qualitative interviews offer unparalleled richness but are rarely used in economics. Let's change that! New WP with
@Ingar30
uses an AI-driven approach to conducting q qualitative interviews, making them scalable, cheap, and ripe for both qualitative and quantitative analysis!

Couldn't agree more and a thing that I want to add here is Korean sociology is not that different. I guess sociology in other countries might be similar. This stubborn "methodological homelandism" (from George Steinmetz) feels like an essential part of sociology across the globe.
"He understood that while relations of domination and exploitation may be inscribed in deep-seated structural forces, the degree of suffering experienced by people around the world was the direct result of actions by social elites."
Facing the world with an empirical rigor and theoretical clarity -- Commemorating Richard Lachmann, a distinguished sociologist of Elites, Power, and State.
