🚨PCA DEACONESS REPORT: FINDINGS🚨 I have recently concluded an investigation into the many churches in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) to determine whether any of them have female deacons (or “deaconesses” as they are commonly called) listed on their websites. I am now ready to release my initial findings. This data comes from readily available information on PCA church websites, taking these sites at face value, as this is how the churches have chosen to present themselves.

@hmatthewlee Makes sense that they wouldn’t be stated exceptions (de jure), but I wonder about de facto. My sense is that quite a few churches do not push infant baptism upon Baptist congregants and members as they would if they believed it to be a “great sin” to “neglect” such a practice.

Also don’t even get me started on how churches claim to hold to both the WCF and the 1689LBCF 29…
I am curious how many ordained in the PCA take an exception to this language from WCF 28 on Baptism, either de jure or de facto.

@CrisAZelaya Could be any number of reasons, but top of my head would be disagreeing that neglecting to baptize infants is a “great sin,” either due to softening of conviction or “pastoral concerns” with Baptist congregants.
