Following Fr. Nick is like if you started long distance running, got lost, found Jesus, then Our Lady and Bl. John Duns Scotus introduced you to

+Fr. Joe died unexpectedly today, he was my principal in high school, he was stern, but a kind and excellent example of a dedicated friar priest.
This one's hitting me kind of hard, say a prayer for him and the friars.
Life update:
I'm being reassigned to the friars high school in Hamburg, NY. I asked to move so I can be closer to my parents who are starting to need help. I'll be moving shortly after Christmas.
Grateful for my time in NJ and looking forward to being back home in Buffalo!
The CDC just announced we can dance if we want to,
we can leave your friends behind. 'Cause your friends don't dance, and if they don't dance, well, they're no friends of mine.
@bf_crane
I went to Iceland right after their president stepped down for some fraud thing. I took a tour of the city, the president was a professor, the tour guide had him for a PhD advisor or something. Everyone knows everyone else, it's wild
6 years a priest today, praise God!
The vocation of being a Franciscan priest has been a blessing in more ways than I could imagine and more ways than I could ever express.
Also nice that today's anniversary is on the memorial of the Immaculate Heart of Mary!

This morning I offered Mass for those women struggling with abortion. Whether they've had an abortion or considering one. They need our prayers and support.
Pray for an end to abortion.
Please say a prayer for +Fr. Joe Bayne, OFM Conv. who died suddenly yesterday, he was only 66.
He was a chaplain for the fire department in Buffalo, was a close friend of my family, and was the first friar I met when I was about 10 and introduced me to the Order.
What if I hiked the Appalachian Trail for the purpose of bringing the Gospel to people? The AT is a very social trail, a lot of younger people out there trying to figure stuff out. A ministry of presence, not doing it for social media popularity or whatever
I anointed someone today, and they breathed their last breath before I fished the ritual, which is an incredible grace.
Asking for eternal life for someone, as a priest, within the Easter Octave, was overwhelmingly beautiful.
Say a prayer for my uncle (who is also my godfather) who is in the hospital and is ceasing any medical treatment. It's hitting me and my family pretty hard. Thank you.
Happy New Year everyone!
I'm logging off for January. I've made Twitter a good place for me, I'm not running away from anything, just need a break to reprioritize, take a digital Sabbath, and focus my life more on God and my Franciscan vocation.
God bless!
Say a prayer for me please! I'm one of the priests and directors on a retreat for a sisters community, looking forward to spending a week of mostly quiet time with the Lord. Say a prayer for the sisters too!
Offered Mass for the United States of America this morning
Was thinking about how Jesus is the way, truth, and life, even after 2,000 years that's still very true.
All things in this world will pass, stay close to the Lord.
Priesthood is a blessing and wonderful in so many different ways
It's also very difficult in ways that are hard to explain, maybe it's the times we're living in, maybe it's the inherent nature of the priesthood.
Either way, prayers and support are most welcome!
I lost my favorite holy card from a dear friend around Christmas when I was traveling so I assumed it was gone forever
But I found it today! On Easter! Amazing!
Idk who needed to hear this but God is with you. Even right now. He hears you. He hasn’t turned his back on you. He’s right there. Talk to him. He’ll respond & you’ll know it’s a response from him. So have faith & be of good courage.

I will not stop praying, particularly asking for the intercession of Our Lady
Destruction of the Eucharist is a most grave matter, and even threatening this violence is an act of hate.
I will continue to pray for an end of abortion and a softening of hearts
Happy Feast of St. Anthony!
This morning I offered Mass for all people who feel lost in their vocation. Whether they are still discerning or actively seeking married life or priesthood/religious life, or feel lost in their current vocation.
Know of my prayers!
Sometimes being a priest is really hard.
But seriously showing up to things on time, praying regularly, and being kind covers about 80% of it.
Very thankful for my vocation and the good priests I've known as role models.
After leaving the church after the funeral and before the cemetery, we drove past my uncle's volunteer fire company where he served for 53 years, really lost it when I saw the gear outside the hall.
Support your local fire company.
Doing the Ignatian Examen at night is probably the most fruitful and helpful prayer I've started in the past few years. It might be helpful for you too.
Say a prayer for me please, some professional work challenges. The Friars are all good and I'm not in danger or trouble or anything.
Either way, say a prayer for me please!
This morning I celebrated Mass for the first time in about 10 times after/while being sick. I still have virus brain fog so my thoughts have been a little wonky. But when I started saying the Eucharistic Prayer, everything kinda cleared up and clicked. Much grace, praise God.
My Uncle Larry passed away a little while ago, thank you for the prayers and support.
My cousin's FaceTimed me in, really glad I got to chat with him for a minute and pray with him before he died. Those Hail Marys hit differently.
Say a prayer for my uncle (who is also my godfather) who is in the hospital and is ceasing any medical treatment. It's hitting me and my family pretty hard. Thank you.
I've been assigned to a parish as parochial vicar, pretty excited! The Friars have a bunch of parishes but never thought I'd be assigned to one (for various reasons)
People I follow, what should I know about going to a parish, what do you want from your parish priests?
Also I have a new assignment! One that doesn't require me to live on a computer.
I'll share more info when appropriate.
I'll miss Maryland but looking forward to the new friary and ministry!
I live with an 87 year old friar, haven't seen him in a week. He's in the room next to me. He's watching Hallmark Christmas movies, all is right in the world lolol
Not completely sure how to say this, and I'm not going into details, but yesterday was a horrible horrible horrible day in so many ways, and today wasn't much better.
But at the of today (less so yesterday!) I'm able to thank God for my life and vocation and that's important.
Happy Solemnity of the Assumption of Our Lady!
A few years I did a crowdsource thing on Twitter for this vestment, I'm exceptionally grateful for everyone's generosity. Know of my prayers!
I've had ulcerative colitis since I was 14/15. The medications led to all sorts of other health complications.
Thinking of all the miraculous healing through the intersession of Our Lady, and grateful for any part she had to play in my healing.
👮♂️🚓🚨 NO SIN GANG 🚨🚓👮♂️
Was able to go to have my confession heard before I listened to peoples' confessions, God is good
Also I got my confessional name plate, very exciting
Say a prayer for my mom's cousin +M her committed suicide a few days ago. There's been a fair amount of trauma in the family, say a prayer for us too please.
More and more I hear of poor seminarian behavior that could be corrected if we established the Friar Nick Rokitka School of formation
Step 1: get a job at Wendy's, McDonald's, Taco Bell, Burger King, Long John Silver's, or Arby's.
Step 2: keep that job for a year
All this talk about good reads is upsetting

Hello! Say a prayer for me please!
Kinda sick, kinda very tired, and lots of big BIG work to do. And I'm moving but I don't know where to lol.
The moving is normal, all the work isn't! thanks for your prayers. I'm in good spirits and praying, just a ton of life going on.
Happy Feast of St. Maximilian Kolbe
The man he offered his life for, Mr. Gajowniczek ended up escaping Auschwitz and lived into his 90's, a testament to the sacrifice of St. Maximilian.
"There's no greater love than to lay down your life for a friend."
There are NO online friends. They are just strangers who are on the same social media as you. Do not trust them. Do not share anything personal and stay as detached as you can. Do not try to develop a friendship.
I went to the pre k 4 and did a blessing of the stuffed animals.
The one kid had a stuffed rock because his favorite animal is a rock lololol, he was so proud of it!
For the Solemnity of St. Francis...... Is this the year where I tweet everything that St. Francis wrote to combat all the nonsense people say he wrote? Hmm
