I had someone tell me that paying the Ukrainians to fight so we don’t have to was smart. He was of draft age so I asked if he’d go. He said there wouldn’t be a draft. I asked what happens when we run out of Ukrainians. At that point, he just left.

I refused an airplane because both pressurization computers were down. It would have been legal to fly, but dependent upon crew actions to remain pressurized. It didn’t feel right to me. Maintenance came out and eventually fixed one of the computers. We were an hour late, but

Quite a talent. Played the annoying know-it-all perfectly. Drove “The Chief” crazy. My favorite was the cone of silence. On one episode, the cone was out of service so they had to use the “portable cone of silence.” Still cracks me up.

I’ve only flown Boeing. But most pilots I know that are Typed on both aircraft prefer the bus. Some of those pilots also say “unless something goes wrong.”

They normally end in a hard landing, which can damage the aircraft. In the video shown, they nearly struck the tail and nearly struck the left engine.

I was in my freshman year of college and saw this in a room of about 20 other college kids. It was clear he was an amazing talent. Later, in the 1980’s and 1990’s, he went into film and I thought was even better. I lack the comedic gene but so admire it in others.

I talked to a retired Southwest pilot. He said they in the old days, they would be taxiing (fast) while passengers were still being seated. Yeah, things are different now :)
