An @AerLingus Airbus A330-300 that departed @MCO headed to Manchester, England, made an emergency landing at DAB Tues night. The aircraft landed safely, but 250 passengers on board had to deplane and wait it out at DAB until they could be transported by bus back to Orlando.

For the 3rd month in a row, @FlyDAB was the busiest airport in Florida for total aircraft operations in Oct. @Delta & @AmericanAir continue to increase flights but the high number of operations came mostly from our fixed-based operators and @EmbryRiddle #daytonabeach #aviation

Attention: due to a suspicious bag that was flagged while going through security, the DAB terminal was evacuated this morning. The bag has since been cleared and normal operations will resume soon. More updates to follow. .

DAB's terminal will close after the last flight departs Sunday night. Passengers who expect to fly in or out of the airport on Sunday are encouraged to contact their airline for up-to-date information. Remember, the airport is not a shelter.

Another impressive flyby today at DAB. this time it was a C-5 Galaxy! It's hard to see just how massive this aircraft is, but here are some stats: it's 245 feet long, 65 feet tall and has a wingspan of 222 feet!

The FAA ground stop has been lifted. At DAB, the 8:25 am @AmericanAirlines flight was delayed but departed before 10 am. For those AA passengers who were delayed, our CX team passed out some DAB swag, including gum and squishy planes ✈ #happytravels

DAB is in the final phase of our 2.5 year, $40 million taxiway rehabilitation project. Starting today, Sept. 21, the main air carrier runway will be closed 24/7 for 20 days. No impact to airline operations but airport neighbors may notice increased north-south flight traffic.
