In a personal record for me, but having called it right with AVB, Sarri and Potter... Maresca will not work out. His football makes our best players look shit and our shit players look appalling. A matter of time until he's sacked and, hopefully, the people who hired him.

The narrative that everything in the club is going to plan and that we’re just spoiled fans would hold more sway if they’d completed simple tasks like secure a sponsorship and not sent out several of the most expensive signings on cheap loans because it turned out they were shit.

Maresca appears to have managed to alienate all the remaining fans who hadn't worked out he is miles from good enough a coach, leader or of mentality for Chelsea. If we don't win tomorrow night things are going to go south, fast.

Why is it the fans could see it but not the people running the club?
The most infuriating part of all of this is how predictable it all is. Sanchez, CB depth, CM issues, ST issues. You could have anticipated all of this in August or before.

Disingenuous garbage that does not account for progress across a season. Maresca's first 24 league games are substantially WORSE than Poch's last 24 league games. Maresca inherited a side that, since Christmas, had been in very good point scoring form and has made it worse.

In contrast, Chelsea were 10th after the same amount of fixtures last season with a winning percentage of just 41.7 per cent. To demonstrate the gulf even further, Maresca’s side have more wins, fewer defeats, scored more goals, conceded fewer times and boast more points. Chelsea's true identity is to play on the counter, crash the box, be aggressive and ultimately win regardless of style. Football is filled with aesthetes, which I love, but the club culture at Chelsea is counter to this movement. It should be embraced rather than dismissed.
