2x CAT-9X Sidewinder
1x TGP
1x AN/ASG-34A(V)1 IRST21 Block 2 Pod
Standard Missile 6 (SM-6) based DATM-174B, ground training variant of the AIM-174B, on a VFA-113 Stingers F/A-18 Super Hornet. Originally posed on NCD by Offsetski of all places.
Video cut to show only the telehandler aka reach forklift spewing hydraulic fluid and dropping as a result of losing pressure as one of the bullets hit it during the Donald J. Trump assassination attempt. In case anybody had doubts that the bullets shot by the shooter were real.
@SteyrACR_real
Though he probably meant the Caproni Ca.309 Ghibli which might be why Caproni appears in the Wind Rises. Anyway names are funny like that aren't they.

Telehandler venting hydro fluid and dropping indicates it took a hit; really shows you how steep the angle was. People saying Trump was saved by him turning his head may be right.
Just luck, and a psycho with good aim going for the head? Or just a decent shooter aiming

You forgot
>Nuclear Strike Aircraft with Internal Weapons Bay
As technically the F-105 didn't use the weapons bay for anything but fuel and nukes.
McDonnell-Douglas / Northrop-Grumman / BAe JAST submission CDDR phase art from via Wayback Machine (JAST would lead to JSF, which itself would be won by the Lockheed Martin X-35, now F-35) 1/3

F-5 / F-20 had no growth left, had to evolve into the Hornet and Super Hornet to stay relevant. Current orders for Viper instead of Hornet show that going Viper was the right choice. The real missed opportunities are the F-16 Agile Falcon and F-16XL.

Because it is the ear it did so little damage as cartilage and the ammo type is "funny" like that. 5.56 mm / .223 Rem. works on hydrostatic shock due to speed. Had it hit his brain which is fluid filled like all humans? Major damage would have ensued due to the cavitation bubble.

You know this doesn't benefit the Ukrainian offensive, do you? It will flood Kherson. When will people like you understand that the Cold War adversary is still playing by the same book?
@gepardtatze
I cannot stop laughing, that F-16 footage was also used in "SEAL Team Season 2 Episode 4, Biolab Heist". I love the meta jokes Ukraine uses.

It is real bud, if you cannot tell video games apart from reality then the problem is with you. There are several clues as to why this is real: tail number, clouds, winglets, asymmetric tank, prop speed, appearance, cockpit reflection.
@tempest_books
Schräge Musik i.e. upward angled cannons achieved were exactly that but better.
Something which most DEU night fighters employed, along with radar in the latter part of the war.
@BurkeKrohn
It is a small world, War Thunder Forums would be dead without Secret Projects and users digging stuff up. Archeology also includes the modern past. You want to know something funny? When the Po-2M was introduced I looked for info on her, ran into my own old posts ...

The thing with the checkerboard is that it has some heraldry rules behind it. Hence the orientation which the checkerboard faces. For poles those colors run deep also, so I can understand if there was a debate.

Yes, IRST21 (Variant of the F-14's AN/AAS-42 IRST) in-front of an FPU-13 fuel tank. Don't think we know the nomenclature for it besides "IRST pod".

@einsteinradler
I wonder if the Stinger Universal Launcher (SUL) would have doubled the Stinger load on all stations of the RAH-66. 6+8 or 12+16 is the question. As usual if she lived to see the Hydra based APKWS it would be been laser-guided rockets galore.
@blkquefiddy
The advantage that this has to say AIM-54 Phoenix is that CGs and DDGs use the same missile, so there are economies of scale at play. And the name Standard Missile isn't a joke, as the lineage has been used on those ships for half a century, and there is still room for growth.

@vorobyov
Moskva is the flagship of the Black Sea fleet, largest surface combatant there, and the ship the Snake Island guards told to "fuck yourself". Rumor is that the Ukrainian made Neptune missiles were used to strike her.

UKR troops already were across the river, UKR is doing an offensive to re-capture the territories lost and a larger river doesn't benefit them, RUS bloggers are cheering, RUS gains a barrier against an offensive from the flank. The cost benefit analysis doesn't check out.

It is called training. Young cocky pilots will be smoked by experienced pilots. You furthermore train from disadvantageous positions.
@OAlexanderDK
My “experiment” has below and above, but you seem to just cling on to details and ignore anything else.
Here a 3d model at scale.
Stuff doesn’t match, but you can just carry on with your scientific argument “Russia bad, therefore everything is Russias fault”
Don’t waste my

@tcamp202
That is a Paveway II ELGTR (Enhanced Laser Guided Training Round), not an AGM-114 Hellfire. Hornet never had Hellfire in inventory, and in the first place Hellfire isn't a thing for jets besides some testbeds.
